Community & Social Integration
SIM creates a strong social network allowing African descendants, especially African diaspora minorities, to access critical information and key resources to facilitate their social and community integration process in the U.S.
The program develops exchange platforms and successful mentorship opportunities for African diaspora minorities and students through matchmaking with community thought leaders and host families for newcomers.
The program provides guidance and facilitates access to key amenities and basic services to ensure adequate social integration into local communities.
The program will strengthen its community outreach through a strategic partnership with local authorities and participating in cultural exchange programs at local, state, and federal levels.
Goals & Objectives
Establish a solid social network that allows African diaspora minorities to have better access to vital information necessary for a successful academic and professional integration process.
Develop mentorship programs for African diaspora minorities through matchmaking with community thought leaders and host families.
Create an exchange platform to educate African diaspora minorities on best practices for a successful social and community integration process.
Provide new immigrants from the African diaspora some guidance and facilitate access to key amenities and basic services such as accommodation, transportation, professional training, life &health insurance, as well as food supply.
